Frequently Asked Questions
-
What types of leases are available?
Campus Park offers 12-month leases beginning August 17, 2013 and ending July 31, 2014.
-
Are guarantors required for every resident?
No. Residents may qualify for the apartment individually without the assistance of a guarantor based upon the rental criteria.
-
Can I use my financial aid to qualify for an apartment without a guarantor?
Any Campus Park resident may pay in semester installments. We advise all residents to deposit the financial aid funds into a personal account and then issue a payment to us in the form of a check or money order, as we do not accept third party checks.
-
When can I move in?
Our Move-In date for the 2013/2014 term is August 17, 2013. Please note: Any missing paperwork or unfulfilled financial obligations may delay the Move-In process on the scheduled Move-In date.
-
What if I need to cancel my lease?
With the exception of joining the military, we do not offer a lease termination clause in the lease. The resident is responsible for the entire lease contract. Campus Park does allow residents to transfer their lease agreement with proper authorization from the management staff.
-
What happens if you do not know anyone to room with?
We will send welcome packets to all incoming Campus Park residents on or before July 15, 2012. This packet will include your roommate names allowing you the opportunity to meet them before moving in. If you do not have roommate requests, we will assign your roommates based on information submitted on the Roommate Preference Card completed with the application.
-
How can roommate conflicts be resolved?
This depends on the availability of rooms and timely payment of the applicable transfer fee.
-
Can I terminate my lease if I withdraw from school or graduate early?
As mentioned earlier, we do not offer an official lease termination clause to our residents. All residents are responsible for the entire term of the contract.
-
Can I request an apartment or roommates?
Feel free to place as many requests as you would like on the back of your application. We will try to meet your requests as best as possible. Please understand that not all requests are guaranteed.
-
Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
All of our apartment homes are very spacious and provide a lot of room for you to bring personal furniture items. Please make note that all Campus Park furniture must stay within the apartment.
-
What size are the beds?
Each bedroom contains a comfortable full-size bed.
-
When is my first payment due?
Your first payment is due July 15, 2012 or upon Move-In if it is after our annual Move-In date.
-
Will you send me a bill each month for rent?
Yes! As a courtesy to the residents, Campus Park does send rent invoices via mail each month for rent. Make sure you check with the office to make your payment before 9:00 AM on the 3rd of each month to avoid late charges, effective August 1, 2012.
-
Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Great news! Campus Park added a new feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks or pay with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover from any computer. Just log onto our website and click the “Pay Rent” link. This will take you to our resident pay rent portal page. There is a small convenience charge for this service.
-
What if I lost my key or it was stolen? Do I have to pay for another one?
While this is unfortunate, you will be responsible for paying $25 for a replacement key, so don’t lose it. Your locks will be replaced with new locks and no one will be allowed access to your apartment.
-
If I move in on the 17th, and my payment is $759, why isn’t the rent pro-rated? Why must I pay a full month’s rent?
It has been pro-rated for you! This means from Aug 17th-July 31 you will live in the unit for 346 days and the total you owe for that term is $9108. In the past, we would collect the total owed in 2 equal installments of $4554 (August and January), similar to how you pay your tuition. However, many residents and parents asked for a 12 month equal installment plan. So we now divide the total for the lease term into 12 equal installments due on the 1st of each month (August-July). You are simply paying off the total lease term owed.

I have ordered books online, but I won’t be home when UPS comes by. Will my package be left in the office? When can I stop by to get it?
As a courtesy, we sign and store packages for all residents and are not responsible for any lost/misplaced mail/packages. Once it is received in our office, you will receive an email or phone call from us stating that you have a package ready for pick-up. To collect the package, your must present your ID and the name on the package must match it, otherwise, you will not be allowed to receive it. All packages not collected within 7 days will be returned to sender.
Packages are available at the following times: 9 am – 8 pm Monday-Friday and 10am – 5pm Sat/Sun
